Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TechHandoff, which is operated by KC Tech Systems, LLC d/b/a TechHandoff (“we,” “us”), 7868 NW 100th Street, Kansas City, MO 64153. By creating an account or using TechHandoff, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use TechHandoff for a company, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that company, and “you” means that company.

TechHandoff is a business service for technology integration companies and their teams. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Homeowners and businesses who view a portal shared by their installer may use that portal for their own reference.

• You are responsible for the people you invite, the roles you give them, and everything done under your account.
• Keep passwords confidential and tell us promptly at info@techhandoff.app if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
• You decide who receives each portal link and PIN, and you are responsible for sharing them appropriately.

You own the information you enter or upload (“your data”), including information about your clients. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display your data only as needed to provide and support TechHandoff.

You confirm that:

• you have your clients’ permission, or another lawful basis, to store their personal information and system credentials in TechHandoff and to share portals with them;
• your data does not violate anyone’s rights or any law; and
• you have the rights to any logos, images and files you upload.

You agree not to:

• store Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or health information in TechHandoff;
• upload unlawful content or malicious code;
• try to access another company’s data, bypass security or PIN protections, or disrupt the service;
• copy, reverse engineer or resell TechHandoff without our written permission.

We own TechHandoff and its software and design. We may change, add or remove features. We work to keep TechHandoff available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. You should keep your own records of information that is critical to your business.

Paid plans are billed as described in our Billing, Cancellation and Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. Before you start a paid plan, we show you the price, billing cycle, and renewal and cancellation terms, and you agree to them at checkout. Accounts we invited to use TechHandoff at no charge stay free until we notify you at least 30 days before paid plans apply to them.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data. If we learn of unauthorized access to your data, we will notify you without undue delay and reasonably cooperate with you. You are responsible for any notices to your own clients that the law requires.

The account owner can close the account at any time from Settings, or you can contact us at info@techhandoff.app. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or puts other users or the service at risk. When an account is closed, client portals go offline immediately. For 30 days the owner can still sign in to export the data or reopen the account; after that, all data is permanently deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

TechHandoff is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims relating to TechHandoff is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for TechHandoff in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

You will defend and hold us harmless from claims by third parties, including your clients, that arise from your data, your use of TechHandoff, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify account owners by email or in the app. Continuing to use TechHandoff after changes take effect means you accept them.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about TechHandoff. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
